Hey everyone! We hope that you and yours are well. We here at Mastersons HQ can’t complain. We just returned from a very successful first tour in Europe. We’re heading right back out on another tour in just a few days, this time with the full band. Check out SHOWS for all of our tour dates. We hope to see you out and please tell your friends.

In other news, we have a couple of additions to the web store just in time for Cyber Monday and the holidays! Our 2 out of print records, The Late Great Chris Masterson (EP), and Eleanor Whitmore’s first album “Airplanes” are now available EXCLUSIVELY at our web store. Check em’ out HERE.

The Olde Towne, Beantown, Boston Marathon… It’s certainly felt a lot like a marathon lately folks. We’re less than a week from the release of our debut record “Birds Fly South”. We’ve been driving around in our van, just Eleanor, myself, and our dog Shakti. We’re playing a few shows and visiting a bunch of radio stations. It’s great to meet everyone and we’re grateful for the support.

For release week, we’ll be playing a show at The Mercury Lounge on Monday night at 7pm. Tuesday we’ll be live on WFUV at 11am, followed by a live webcast on www.twangville.com . We’ll then head up to Toronto for a show and some press. After that a show with Rhett Miller in Ithaca on Saturday. Then we head South! Phew! Would you believe our van, bought new in December, already has over 12,000 miles on it?

It’s looking like this year is going to be very busy. We’re also going back on the road with Steve Earle at the end of April. We’ll be opening for Steve and playing in his band. This should be a blast. Keep visiting the website and Facebook and we’ll keep you posted on everything.

Birds Fly South

Many of our friends and fans have asked, “Where can I get a copy of Birds Fly South?” We are pleased to announce that The Mastersons have signed with New West Records! The CD along with a limited edition 180-gram vinyl will be at your local record store and for sale online on April 10th! Some of you picked up a copy early on at a Steve Earle show. How cool is our boss?

You can expect to be hearing “One Word More” on your local radio stations in the coming weeks. We’ll have a music video coming soon and we just picked up our newly designed Mastersons T-shirts! (Available at shows only for now.)

We traveled far and wide with Steve Earle in 2011 and are working on dates near you this summer. In addition to many appearances at SXSW in March, we have some other dates coming up on the calendar (listed below). More dates will be added soon.

Thanks to your support, we are looking forward to very exciting 2012!
